Women's Ministry's Leadership Connection

Greetings Women of the North Pacific Conference,

Want to partner with God to make a difference in this world?  Women Ministries is ready to equip you.

The North Pacific Conference invites all women to the Leadership Connection, which is a Women Ministries training event, at Tigard Covenant Church, on Saturday October 24, 2009.  This training will help you start a Women Ministries group, revitalize and established group, or bring your group to the next level if it is already fruitful.

Karen Hearl PhotographWe are excited to have Karen Hearl, Director of Ministry Coaches, lead us through "How to Jumpstart Your Women Ministries" and "The Dynamics of Change."  She will also be available to help individual groups develop a ministry action plan that fits your church.

The Leadership Connection consists of 4 seminars, from 9am to 2:30pm.  Aside from the two seminars that Karen will lead, there will be "Nuts and Bolts of Women Ministries" to equip beginning groups; as well as an AVA (Advocacy for Victims of Abuse) seminar, which can expand your church's ministry in stopping violence against women and children.

Training is a service of the North Pacific Conference Women Ministries, with a nominal cost of $10 per woman, which includes lunch.  You can register now by calling Lorie Harmon, 360-943-9404 or by emailing her at lorieharmon@gmail.com.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of us.  We don't want you to miss this unique opportunity.

Praying to greet you at the Connection,

WM Ministry Coaches Trained and Available

In January 2006, WM called 25 women from across the Covenant for training in Chicago.  These ministry coaches are now available in their home conferences to offer WM training and assistance to YOU.  For instance, do you struggle to identify what a Womens Ministry should look like in your particular church and community?  Or, how can Women Ministries support the vision of your church?  Or, do you wonder why the vital Women Ministries you once had is no longer thriving?  If so, call on your ministry coaches.

Your ministry coaches offer the Coordinators Summit, a five hour seminar designed to help clarify the vision of Women Ministries in the church and give practical helps on designing spiritually transforming ministries for women.  Our desire is to come along side local leaders and assist and encourage them in their roles.  You may have a very specific need or you may simply long to hear how to give your ministries new vitality and focus.  The Coordinators Summit was created to respond to your needs.

The seminar has three components: You and Your Vision, The ABC's of Women Ministries and Your Leadership Team.  It is always a joy to see that "aha!" moment during the Coordinators Summit.  For some it comes during the session on vision and mission statements.  It is energizing to have a clear answer to what you want to see happen in women ministries and know why it exists.  For others, the "ABC's of Women Ministries: A - Assess; B - Build; C - Confirm" cast a welcome light.  For instance, in "A for Assess," its fascinating to learn what those generational differences mean - "So THAT's why they don't come!"  Still others are incredibly relieved to learn how to transition from a Board structure to a more flexible Leadership Team.

Your ministry coaches are waiting and eager to connect with you!  For the North Pacific Conference Women Ministries, the coaches are:
