Lenore Three Stars: Chair

In 1980, I said yes to Christ as my Savior sitting in Lake Stevens Covenant Church. I'm grateful for the formative years in spent in that church family and I was bereft when our church doors closed in 2007. Still, the Lord is faithful and I'm settling in to my new church home at Monroe Covenant - I'm a "newbie" again.

My final term as NPC WM Chair ends in April 2010 and my underlying goal is to see a personal connection between the Board and the women of the NPC. We are here to walk alongside you with love and resources as we seek to build up His kingdom through Women Ministries in the North Pacific Conference. I'd love to hear from you - what are your thoughts, questions, ideas, news... what is happening in your corner?

Bobette Scheid: Vice Chair, Retreat Chair and Ministry Coach

Our family has been attending Mercer Island Covenant Church since 1995. The Coast Guard moved us here and we loved it so much that we decided to retire here and raise our family. My sweetheart of over 30 years and I have raised 3 boys and 1 girl and 3 service dogs. Our youngest is in college, and I'm now in the "Grandma Club" with a new granddaughter and a grandson on the way.

I love serving Christ through volunteering! After studying "The Purpose Driven Life" it was obvious my passion was for women and children. I've been a part of our church WM team for 9 years now and served as a coordinator for 3 of those years. I've been labeled as a Craft Queen at church and I love to shop for anything but bathing suits!

I feel honored to serve on this team as Vice Chair. And I am currently serving as Chair of the 2007 and 2008 WM Retreat and as a Ministry Coach covering Seattle and south WA.

Jessica Besso: Treasurer

Jessica Besso, Treasurer I'm a lover of Jesus, my family and numbers! My Master has gifted me with some accounting talents, and I want to use them for His glory. I wass first introduced to the Covenant denomination when I worked for a small CPA firm in college and my boss was treasurer of one of the northwest Covenant churches. After I graduated, one of my audit clients was the NPC. I lived on Mercer Island at the time and became a member of MICC. My wonderful husband and I are now members of Cascade Covenant in North Bend where I sing in the choir and enjoy working in the children's Sunday school programs.
