Lenore Three Stars, Chair
In 1980, I said yes to Christ as my Savior sitting in Lake Stevens
Covenant Church, and never left. Very soon thereafter, I learned
that I was expected to produce something for the Covenant Woman
bazaar, and thus began my training in women's ministry. Since then,
I've reared a son, been employed as a civil rights investigator,
and am still learning what it means to grow in Christ and serve Him.
I've served as the NPC WM Financial Secretary for 5 years, and am
now set to learn what it means to serve as Chair. I sense that the
Lord has gone before me and prepared the ground for this step. I
know and love the godly women on the board, having worked alongside
them for the past 5 years. What better time than this to step out
in faith and see how the Lord can use Women Ministries to build up
His kingdom in the North Pacific Conference!

Host a visit with the NPC WM Chair? As Chair of North
Pacific Conference Women Ministries (NPC WM) I'd love to meet the
women in the North Pacific Conference, so I'm starting by seeking
invitations to meet the women in your church. I suspect that many WM
groups do not know who sits on the Board that shapes Women Ministries
in the North Pacific Conference, and represents them at the
denominational WM level - right? The NPC WM Board would like to turn
that around by making personal connections with you. It is our primary
goal to let you know that we care about you as sisters in Christ, and
we wish to encourage your work for the Lord in women ministries by
offering resources. As Chair of the NPC WM Board, I have a unique
opportunity to travel and visit with you. Perhaps you heard that my
home church in Lake Stevens, WA officially closed as of the June 2007
ECC annual meeting in Portland, OR. You know how the Lord finds ways
to redeem the good out of painful experiences? One way is that I have
some time to travel and worship with WM groups in our North Pacific
Conference. If you'd like to invite me for a visit, I'll be happy to
share resources and news about what is happening in Women Ministries
in our conference and denomination. Please feel free to contact me: lenore.threestars
at verizon.net (change "at" to @ ) or on my cell: 425-350-9635
Linda Gersib, Vice Chair
River Ridge Covenant Church in Olympia WA is my home church and
my husband Dick and I became charter members at RRCC in 1993 when we
moved from the Midwest to Olympia. We have both been active in the
church over the years.
I am employed at Saint Martin's University in Lacey as a Program
Specialist in the Athletic Department. I work with the budget,
financial aid and arrange all the travel for the 13 sport teams. It is
challenging, very busy and most of the time enjoyable. I enjoy
spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling and
exercise.
I currently serve on the Leadership Team as Vice Chair. My duties
include assisting the Chair in any way I can and solicited candidates
to fill the available open positions on the Team.

I work with my husband Tom who is a

stuff and not-so-fun stuff. We’ve been working together since we had
our first child and bought the practice the summer of 1985. I’m not a
CPA nor an accountant so I’m a “learn as I go” type.

Mostly,
I am the "cheerleader" for our Special Interest Missionaries. I assign
them to the congregations for you to intentionally love 'em through
prayer, communication, and creative support of their efforts as our
ambassadors of Christ to the world at large. If you don't know who
your SIMs are then, by all means, ask me!
Home Church: Crossroads Covenant Church in

Suzann is active in the theater arts community as stage

drums with the music team of her congregation. Enjoys writing (poetry,
essays and devotions), cooking, forget-me-nots and sunflowers, autumn,

Jan Means, Outreach Ministry Chair
My home church is currently Kent
Covenant, although I grew up attending Interbay Covenant Church in
Seattle – so that still feels like my home church. I have two boys –
Jon-Erik, just finishing his a freshman year at North Park University,
and Kristoffer a sophomore in high school. My husband is a graphic
designer for an engineering firm in Bellevue.
I am serving in the Outreach
Ministry position, which involves compiling and publishing the CWM
Connection newsletter. I enjoying working on this and seeing the
newsletter come together in a format that can put helpful and
encouraging information into women’s hands.
It is exciting to work with women
from other churches in the area. I hope that with our various
ministries, we will be able to tap into the resources and support of
other women in the Covenant Church. Together we can spread the
enthusiasm for what God is doing around and through us.

Bobette Scheid, Ministry Coach and Retreat
Coordinator, 2007 & 2008
Our
family has been attending Mercer Island Covenant Church since 1995.
The Coast Guard brought us up here and we loved it so much that we
decided to retire here and raise our family. Our youngest is in
college, and I’m now in the “Grandma Club” with a new granddaughter.
I love serving Christ through volunteering! After
studying “The Purpose Driven Life” it was obvious my passion was for
women and children. I’ve been a part of our church WM team for 8 years
now and coordinator for 3 years and now I love coaching WM in the
conference.
I’ve been labeled as a Craft Queen at church and
I love to shop for anything but bathing suits!
I chair 2 non-profit teams, served on many teams
in our church and community, served as a Church Administrator, raised
3 boys and 1 girl, & 3 service dogs. And for over 30 years I’ve been
in love with my sweetheart.
