The mission of NPC WM is to advance the Kingdom of God through ministries that equip women to grow, serve, and reach out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Here are some ways that NPC WM seeks to accomplish its mission:

The NPC WM RETREAT is offered the third weekend every September at the beautiful Cascades Camp & Conference Center, Yelm, WA.  The Retreat is open to all women, and is a great opportunity to introduce women to the love of Christ.

Three NPW WM MINISTRY COACHES are available to help you design spiritually transforming ministries for women that are in harmony with your church’s vision, and to provide ongoing assistance.   ...to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. Eph 4:12

The NPC WM MINISTRY PROJECT is selected annually to benefit ministries consistent with the mission of NPC WM. The 2006-07 project “Educate the Girls” will help girls in Congo overcome the severe education limits placed on them due to poverty, tradition, and civil war.

“SIMs” are the Special Interest Missionaries that we are privileged to support with prayer and tokens of our love.  NPC WM sends the denominational WM office $300 for each active SIM assigned to the NPC for a ministry project of her choice, and a $25 birthday gift for each assigned SIM, active or retired. Each church is assigned a SIM to support and it’s this partnership with NPC WM that makes these gifts possible.

FAITH AND OUTREACH GRANT. NPC WM is thrilled to award its first $500 F&O Grant for an after-school program for low-income

9-12, 2007, Chicago, IL.  Raise the Flag” promotes funding in each conference WM to bring an international guest from her country to  Triennial. (www.triennialxii.org)

FRIENDS OF WOMEN MINISTRIES (FOWM) NPC WM encourages participation in FOWM to support our denominational WM office in Chicago.  FOWM is essential until our denominational WM office receives a portion of the ECC budget.  Most of the income received by the denominational WM office comes from the faithful ministry support sent by Conference WM and local WM groups.

children, mostly of agricultural workers. The Grant provides seed money for new ministries that reflect the mission of NPC WM. (See the NPC WM website for a grant application)

AVA “Advocacy for Victims of Abuse” is an initiative of WM under the leadership of Rev. Aleese Moore-Orbih.  AVA has stirred strong support throughout the denomination for its critical work of stopping violence against women and children.  Two AVA Regional Coordinators are available in our conference to train and support local church advocates, and lead awareness seminars.

The “WM CONNECTION”  NEWSLETTER is published twice a year to inform and connect women of the NPC. WM groups are highly encouraged to share news from their home church by emailing the Outreach Ministry Chair.

NPC WM SCHOLARSHIPS  Two $700 scholarships are donated annually. NPC women attending North Park University & Covenant Bible College have been recipients, and beginning 2006-07, NPC women in North Park Theological Seminary will be included.  A Scholarship offering is taken at Retreat.

InSPIRIT Magazine is the quarterly denominational WM publication designed to instruct and inspire women in the Covenant.  NPC WM provides subscriptions and other WM resources for NPC plant churches.

TRIENNIAL—Every three years, women of ECC gather for this special denominational WM event. NPC WM draws for early bird registration scholarships so more women can worship, learn, fellowship, and strengthen faith in the richest kind of experience. The next Triennial is set for August

Greetings from your North Pacific Conference Women Ministries (NPC WM) Board! We are pleased to explain how we are all part of a much bigger picture.  NPC WM is part of Women Ministries of the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC), led by Ruth Hill, Executive Minister, and headquartered in Chicago, IL.  In partnership with our denominational WM office, we all play an important role in local, national and international ministries.

In our own growing ECC North Pacific Conference (NPC), which includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, there are 73 Covenant Churches today.  Currently, about  40% of all NPC churches have some form of women ministries, as do about 77% of all ECC churches.  These local WM groups are the bedrock of ministries for women when they partner with NPC WM and our denominational WM.  The financial support, time and talent of NPC WM groups are invaluable in accomplishing the shared purpose of uniting and equipping women in Christ to advance the Kingdom of God.
